Grrrr! Tits Ahoy!

Several days ago I made a comment to a post of Dcup's at American Street. Much to my surprise she contacted me and asked if I'd be interested in posting to her blog Politits as a co-blogger. Well, Hell, Yes! It's a scary prospect I must admit. Dcup has a good reputation as a political and social blogger and I hope I'll be up to the challenge.

Of course, I'll continue my regular habit of posting picture stories and illustrated random thoughts. My tendency has been to comment on current political events at the blogs where this stuff is already happening (hello, fairlane) since I think it's important to have more focus than less. If I find I have something to say about an issue then I can just add it to the mix. Likely that's what I'll continue to do for the occasional post at Politits.

In honor of this milestone moment, I would like to thank just a few of the people who have encouraged me during my brief time in the blogosphere. Yes, Scarlet, I love that word too and you are a great writer. fairlane at Jonestown was my first visitor and has been very cool and supportive while I was wondering what the heck was my purpose in being up here even though it was obvious he was very busy. My brother-in-law, Gary at Withinsight graciously introduced my junior blog last fall and I'll always appreciate that as well as our long friendship. Lastly, I have to mention Ben at Flying Totems. He's my son and has one of the coolest little sites that hardly ever gets comments but then again, he's wise to the blogging world and doesn't advertise.

I can't mention everyone who has visited and with whom I've formed welcome relationships but most of you are on my blog roll and I'm delighted at what you're doing. I know from experience now that only the brave blog.

My lunchtime is nearly over and I have to return to work. I plan to post something at Politits soon but meanwhile, please go over and visit the blog. It's great and I'm very proud (humbly so) to have been invited. Thanks again, Dcup!

That Dcup sure knows how to pick 'em! I think this is just so cool and I'll be eagerly awaiting your Tits posts!

This is quite a development.

I hate all the words you're supposed to use when something cool happens.

"Awesome, Congrats, Congratulations, Great News, Way to Go, etc, etc," ad infinitum.

So, imagine me saying one or more of those phrases/words.

And what an enjoyable blog you have sistah!

Nice choice of art to launch a partnership with Dcup...is the cat always there or is she available for lunch or coffee?

Ben is cool.

suzi - Welcome, and yes, it should be fun. It's so nice to see the avatar of another blogger I admire in my comments section.

fairlane - Yeah, the world is full of surprises and felicitations for saying the word I chose to note :-)

and you're not allowed to penalize Dcup or cut back on her benefits.. such as they are.

gary - It would have died stillborn if you hadn't come by when you did. I'm also surprised about the effects on my creativity that blogging has unleashed.. guess I still have a notch or two left for cranking up.

I think the cat stays but you could always take a chance he'd purr for you.

Hello, Susan.
And congratulations.
I would hope that this works well for you.

What fairlane said. Dcup is good people and so are you, unless you two are filthy liars, in which case you're not. But I'll assume the former!

I can't wait to see what the two of you will cook up. I think it's cool as long as we continue to see the artwork here because I'm addicted to that now. I love your work.

I love the art you chose for this post.

I'm with the group here. Post as much as you want at 'Tits, but not at the expense of your wonderful stories and drawings. I love those. Love them.

pt - One never knows, do one?

Sometimes I wonder if this ability to forge long distance friendships without age, looks, jobs or class being a factor isn't perhaps another of those bright, shining moments we'll look back on with nostalgia.

randal - I think this is another example of 'follow your heart and good things will follow'. It feels good to me :-)

scarlet - I'm working on a new picture story right now and it's one I remembered out of the blue (indigo).. not one already thumbnailed. Dcup asked me if I'd like to do a bit of political commentary at 'Tits' and that seemed like a cool idea so we'll see how it goes.

dcup - see answer to Scarlet.. and perhaps the others too who wish us both well. I'm so damn glad you guys are okay after the tornadoes. Had it been bad news Phantsy might have gone under too.

Tits Ahoy? Is that anything like Chips Ahoy? They both sound like they'd be good with milk.

Congratulations. I just took a look at politits and it seems to be nicely put together. So I'll be be back.

And yeah, I'm just taking it easy here in my own little corner of the web. The Dude abides.

Hi Lindsay - Of course the stories will come first - working on 2 now and one of them will be up in a day or so. I'm glad you enjoy them.

GFid - see above :-) They're fun to do and totally non-threatening (except to my psyche sometimes)

Ben - Tits Ahoy is very much like Chips Ahoy and equally good with milk, I agree.

Wyld - crazy and weird. I like both. Thanks for visiting.
