summer stylin' 1954

I don't know about you but I haven't changed a bit :-)

Just holding a spot here while Crow considers his options.

It's nearly summer and the livin' is supposed to be easy, innit?

I'll be by soon.

  3. I was struck by the same thing as everyone else. What a stylish girl you were! And I'm sure you haven't changed one bit.

    Yeah, there's a bit of, I don't know - burnout? going around.

  7. blogitse - thanks :-)

rene - Only child of doting, working parents.

lisa - I always knew what I liked. I remember crying at the unfairness of outgrowing a favorite dress.

belette - Merci! She was incredibly cool.

lol - I'm glad because I still have ones much like them :-)

dr. zaius - The first picture of me was painted on a cave wall.

  8. a friend of mine who is 92 years old told me to write on the back of photos something about the picture. because it gets lost so quickly, who is in the photo and why was it taken. a picture might say a thousand words, but in the end most family pictures are mute, meaningless without the story behind them.

  9. You ladies can pull off high-waist pants. Us dudes are only allowed to when cutting the lawn post-retirement or power walking at the mall.

  11. sera - Your friend is right. I found myself the owner of a large collection of old family and friends of my parents photographs, many whose names and stories I'd forgotten. I returned many of them to younger relatives in England to complete other albums.

randal - Remember 'the Old School' on mst3k and the song 'Hike Your Pants Up'? It remains a favorite :-)

linda - Pretty sophisticated for nearly seven, eh? There are others..

  12. Love the open-toe sandals and the windswept hair. It means that you wore flip-flops before they were cool.

  13. If the first picture of you was painted on a cave wall, then I'll bet that you were done in ocher and burnt sienna, with charcoal eyes!

dr. zaius - Better than a stick figure scratched in mud for sure.
