tits - I mean the birds..

Oh dear. I was going to post a picture of a new drawing but my almost brand new Power Mac has developed what seems to be a serious problem. It tries to light up but there's nobody home. The hard drive can't be accessed and that's where all my stuff is. Oh dear. Oh well. It's mostly pictures and they can be replaced.

At least numb's computer has a few of my favorite pictures by other people like this one by Rudi Herzlmeier. He's always been an excellent portraitist of Crow's dearest relatives.

The hint seems to be that I paint. I'll be back.

*note to self - It's a MacBook Pro. Seems I still have the reliable G4 Power Book on the brain.

  1. Oh dear, I hope the Mac Geniuses can fix your machine asap! And I do like the look of Crow's relatives.

and your computer? as it's so new, they will probably just give you another one...no worries, apple support is fabulous but i think you know that...

  4. marja-leena - We get one little signal that says it recognizes the hard drive but nothing else. It appears something major (like its brain) has malfunctioned. Yes, Rudi Herzlmeier is a quiet genius :-)

linda - They really are tits! I don't know if we have any of them in the US but if we do I'm sure the Christian Coalition insisted they have a different name.

Yes, I think it's going to mean a new one and I wish it could be as simple as having them place the hard drive and my matte screen in a new one but something tells me it's going to be more complicated. It always is.

sera - He induced my love of birds with shoes. As for the computer, I'm glad I have this one for visiting my friends :-)

  5. Oh no! Not your new MacBook Pro! My MacBook better not start acting up...it was doing something funny yesterday...

Cool picture of the birds - so vivid.

  6. Have you tried putting it in 'firewire' mode and connecting it to another computer to see if u can pull the files from the abyss?

I feel your frustration. No better way to cheer yourself up than tits...!

  7. I know that's why I come here, for the tits.

I don't know anything about computers except how to turn them on and sledgehammer them into submission.

Have you thought about checking to see if there's any of that bailout scratch hiding in corner of some obscure DC office?

  8. I'd be furious if I had a brand new Apple computer and it already had problems. They should be willing to bend over backwards to help you I should think.

    Tits with shoes-now I've seen everything :D

  10. When all else fails, post a picture of cute tits! ;-)

I hope you get your 'puter to feel better. If I were to lose my images, I think I would go truly mad. You are very calm. This is very good. :-)

  11. nancy - Yes, that one. There was no warning either. I just had time to check my email yesterday morning and when I got home from a trip downtown it was kaput.

joss - Thanks for the good idea. The worst thing isn't so much the stuff ,most of which I can re-photograph, but the peripheral attachments - scanner, photoshop and camera to i-photo adjustments I had in place. Thankfully, we do have a external hard drive we use for backing up the impoosible to replace stuff.

randal - It was funny having that one of my collection being the first thing that showed up on numb's computer. It was the perfect choice under the circumstances. If apple won't replace I'll check out the bailout route. We'll need to :-)

liberality - Geez, getting in touch with apple would be a good story for a post on its own (which I may do tomorrow). Let me just say they appear to be happier showing you the hot new products..

    I love the tits :-)

jams - He is very cool, isn't he? My Crow avatar was painted by him too.

pagan sphinx - I explained to Joss I haven't really lost that much since most of our stuff is backed up to an external hard drive. It could have been much worse so, yes, I'm calm.

The tits are cuter than most :-)

  12. I'm always reminded of when Nate's 3rd grade teacher told me that she'd nearly peed her pants trying NOT to laugh when he identified a bird as a tufted titty mouse.

    That picture is fabulous.

  13. Wow...my husband was just asking me the other day if I would be interested in a MacBook for Christmas. I guess I'll tell him to hold off on that. My computer is old and it drives me nuts sometimes, but I hate the thought of changing to a new one. You know...it's like an old shoe, comfortable.

Regarding the tits...I'm more of a fan of cocks, myself. ;-)

  14. lisa - That's hilarious. I would have done the same. How is it kids always get the essence of language?

nunly - The surprise here is that our Macs have been very reliable compared to the PC's. I gave up the G4 because even though it hadn't been open to upgrades in several years it finally started seriously overheating.I didn't want to change either.

    No, I'm not surprised :-)

  16. That's not like a Mac to give you problems. Sorry to hear about it. I'll wait patiently for things to get right so I can see the next drawing.

    Peace.

  17. spadoman - I know. We've had Macs for years with no problems before. Don't worry, I'll still come to visit.

  19. sera - I'd promise you many things but not that. I miss my baby and all her hidden secret places :-)

  20. Sorry about the Mac. I sat on my laptop early last Spring. Never did replace it. It was trying to make me intelligent and took too much time away from beer.
