going dim, not dark
The movers will be here soon and sooner still the wi-fi will be packed up into one of the last 'packed by owner' cartons. We're planning to drive to Spokane today and then will head east through the Cascades mostly on Rte 90. It's supposed to be a very beautiful drive and one we haven't done before. Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Wisconsin will pass outside the window before we cross into Canada in North Ontario. Hopefully, the hotels will have internet service; hopefully, there will be hotels. Yes, we're taking a blanket.
Thank you to all who have left messages and those who come after. We'll keep in touch :-)

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great journey Susan
ReplyDeleteSafe travels! Can't wait to hear about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, keep safe...
ReplyDeleteFly, Crow, fly! ...
ReplyDeleteUntil we hear from you again, I'll think of you in Spokane. I was there several times in the last year, on business. I love that town.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move. I hope the blanket is warm enough and comfortable enough, and that the hotels make it something you can leave in the car...
dammit, i haven't been online and thought i had til tomorrow to say happy trails to you ;) .... ok, dear friend, be safe and well, find that wifi and a sweet b&b once in awhile...have no idea how long it takes to get there...will keep you close to my heart, where you've been all day anyway... xo
ReplyDeleteOh jeez, you're going through parts of Real America, don't tell the locals that you're hippies.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you all for the good wishes. There are parts of this ride I wish you all could see. Eastern Washington heading north after the Gorge was a desert of rolling hills, dried grasses and blue, blue skies. Then we saw mountains again in the distance as we got loser to Spokane.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure even you, Randal, would be totally digging this. Our hair and little pink Tracker have already informed the natives we're hippies but for some reason they don't care :-)
