Just lately, every time I come up with something I think is worth writing about, this happens:

Do you ever have times like that?

    1. It's been a very long winter that doesn't seem to want to end.

  2. The machine reminds me of the Republicans and Democrats in Congress.

I can't seem to get motivated eitherl. I think it is the time of year.

    1. Yes, I do know that and I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I have no excuse but that I find my books more entertaining than me.

It was very sweet of you to come by.

    2. the winter that will not end is correct. It has produced a national malaise of huge proportions, broken only by right-wing idiocy.

    3. Politicians blowing hot and cold air has long been a cause of malaise.

  4. I try to get motivated but the cloudy, cold, windy days are getting me down somewhat. Before you know it though, it will be hot as blazes out and I'll be complaining that we need more rain so I guess it's not that bad all told. Hope you are feeling more chipper soon! :)

    1. It does tend to make us a bit gloomy when spring doesn't come after a very long and nasty winter. It's supposed to be that time we can relax and enjoy before the summer heat waves.

Ah well, it will come and we'll all feel better then.

  5. What's that definition for insanity? Something about continuing to do the same thing, expecting different results? I enter a plea of guilty, your honor, as charged. Please consider the needs of my granddaughter and dog before naming my sentence.

    1. I think that was Einstein's definition of humanity. I have no grandchildren to provide me an alibi but I have been going to the park to meet and greet other people's dogs. They asked me to give their regards to Maestro.

    3. Oh no. The last piece of the puzzle and you've got a short circuit. Know any friendly electricians?

    4. Friendly electrician, yes. :0)

I called a fellow who works at the ReStore (twice.... Long distance....That's how things were rolling). After taking the thing apart 4 times, I managed to get it right. And it looks ok, will send a picture. Treated myself to ice cream for dessert tonight in celebration. New tenant comes tomorrow.

    6. Rewards of the 11th hour are all the sweeter.

My dad was an amateur electrician (meaning good but unlicensed) who taught me how to rewire lamps etc. His major lesson was in stressing respect and care. It was much the same when he taught me how to drive.

Yes! All the canines and canettes will be out today. It's beautiful enough I expect you and Maestro will hear the chorus.

  6. "Mama said there'd be days like that, there'd be days like that my momma said...."
