Next year I have to find a way to burn a yule log. I no longer have a fireplace, you see.
Hope you are toasty warm. The eastern part of the state is expecting a ton of snow. If the coast gets it, chances are we will either only get a couple of inches or we will get a lot of freezing rain. I'll take photos!
jams - Would that the peaceful days could come and stay.
lisa - Best to you and your Golden Group.
marja-leena - I'm very glad to have met you and wish you all happiness always.
the crow - So nice of you to stop by. I wish you all happiness and good news in the new year.
pagan sphinx - What! Did someone brick up your fireplace?
We are warm here even with the radiant heating turned low and off in some rooms. Meanwhile, we still have windows cracked open. It's cold out there but no snow so I'll look forward to your pictures.
another sweet painting....lovely...hoping you are warm and toasty up there, enjoying the winter-season now that the semi-craziness has passed on by. xoxo
lydia - I'm very glad. This one, however, is one of my favorites painted by Kliban who perfected the ideals of a typical cat's attitude :-)
liberality - Thank goodness it's over for another year, eh? Let's hope there are more reasons to celebrate next Christmas.
linda - Yes, we are warm and toasty enough with the radiant heat floors that in spite of keeping the thermostats turned low or off in some rooms, we're sleeping with the window cracked open :-) Even though the nuttiness wasn't quite so extreme here, I'm always glad when Christmas is over.
THE PEACE OF THE EARTH The peace of the earth be with you, the peace of the heavens too; the peace of the rivers be with you, the peace of the oceans too. Deep peace falling over you; God’s peace growing in you.
okjimm - I never knew Canada was famous for prize fighters.
cr - Kliban is one of my very favorites. His work is deceptively simple.
Best wishes of the season to you too.
gfid - This particular image from Kliban's famous Cat paintings is one of my favorites. I grew up next to a small Ontario lake and our house was similarly placed.
Happy New Year!
spadoman - Happy Trails to you Spado in the coming year and many more to come.
lindsay - Beautiful wishes that I hope will come true for all of us.
And here's wishing a peaceful day to you and yours too Susan
