Just as I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever write (and draw) another one, I've surprised myself by
doing it again. Boy, is my wrist sore. I doubt you've wondered what it was like when the first boomers hit highschool but I decided to tell it anyway.. one version, anyway. There are millions more.
You, dear Susan, are ageless. Hope you had a lovely Bday. And, you chose my favorite of your latest works to post here. J'adore this one.
ReplyDeletelbr - Thank you so much for the good wishes and the nice compliment. It was the most difficult of the 4 drawings for me to execute so I'm glad to hear it worked.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read this, Susan. I started the first few lines only to realize that I need more time and a cup of tea. The line about spending summers home alone struck me, as I had similar components to my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask you...is it okay with you if I feature you as one of my artists of the week? If so, can you send me or link me to a couple of your favorite creations? I have one request, if you'll abide (ok, if not, of course): the gorgeous painting with the zebras in it; the one you had a photograph of? Let me know.
Love,
Gina
pagan sphinx - Moi? ..alongside the Masters you've featured? I'm incredibly flattered that you'd ask but of course, yes. I'll be in touch when I get some time with the home computer. This working for a living is getting tedious..
ReplyDeletei wonder if high school has *ever* changed. i'd bet even the pharoahs hated high school.
ReplyDeletesera - It was such a nasty experience that I never attended one dance or event - but that's another story.. or may become one ;-)
